For several generations, our schools have been ‘teaching’ students using Critical Race Theory and Postmodernism. Critical Race Theory is a branch of Critical Theory centered around race, and the ‘theory’ part of it is that if you can separate the majority of a society into identity groups, all of which are then ‘taught’ to believe they are oppressed by the society as a whole, those identity groups will rip the society to shreds.
The point of Critical Theory is to destroy the Western World and Enlightenment Values, based on freedom and individualism, such that the Western World will accept collectivism.
Postmodernism originated in art. Artists would create imagery that was devoid of meaning and then leave it entirely up to the person seeing the art to decide what it might mean. In other words, the ‘meaning’ of Postmodern Art is purely subjective.
Today, Postmodernism is used as a replacement for the Enlightenment. Postmodernism suggests that we experience the world through five imperfect senses, all of which are open to a near-infinite number of possible interpretations, and that there is no objective way to choose any one possible interpretation over another. In other words, things like ‘knowledge’ and ‘truth’ are purely subjective and are things that can be ‘felt’ but not known. This is why people will often now say things like ‘I feel,’ followed by what sounds like a factual statement.
Mix in Stephen Dawkins’ position since there is no scientific explanation (using natural science) for free thought, people must be no more than ‘meat machines’ whose brains are ‘computers’ that, while ‘complex enough to think we think,’ in reality, free thought does not exist.
In other words, Stephen Dawkins denies the existence of agency.
The predominant view held by our mainstream media, social media, government bureaucrats, big tech, and other elites is that everything we do is controlled not by choice but by a combination of our DNA (programming) and our experiences/knowledge (data) and that everything we do is driven by those two things. Criminals don’t commit crimes by choice – they are driven to do so by programming and data that are completely beyond their control. Achievements are not made by choice but by programming and data that are completely beyond our control.
These elites then censor the information the public is allowed to access, not based on ‘truth,’ as they don’t believe ‘truth’ exists, but based on how the information will affect the public, and they do so with the intent of balkanizing our public and destroying our civilization.
What might a country driven by these concepts look like? Listen to this episode of Cutting Through the Chaos to find out…
