The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We the People, have put every member of Congress into that position and, for the most part, refuse to hold them accountable for effectively bankrupting the United States. Alexis de Tocqueville was correct. The republic survived until Congress figured out how to bribe the public with its own money. Do you remember the line from the movie The Empire Strikes Back?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – “When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall.” We have built our lives on the bough of trust in the United States, on the ideas of freedom and justice for all. However, recent polling has shown that Americans are losing trust not just in our institutions but also in the basic ideas of freedom, justice, and the United States itself. What happens when that bough of trust breaks?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Things are pretty interesting in America right now. Courts are whipping Texas law SB4 back and forth like a tennis match. States and cities appear to have lost all sense of truth and justice. And while the American people prepare for another election, chaos still reigns over some previous ones. It seems like we’re living in some interesting times.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The most important comment I’ve heard so far is when Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was worried that the First Amendment would be used to hamstring the government. It seems she missed the point of the Bill of Rights. Does the Constitution mean what it says, or can it be ignored in certain situations? The Biden Administration Censorship case, Murthy v. Missouri…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We’ve all had that jerk on social media. The one we have to block because of their language, or just because they’re being a jerk. But what if you’re a public official? Can you block one of your constituents from your social media page? In a couple of recent SCOTUS cases, people sued public officials for blocking them from their social media pages. Today, we’ll take a look at how SCOTUS decided this case…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – I often wonder if the logic used today is sheer arrogance or just an excuse to say, ‘It’s not my fault!’ Governments, using the pandemic as a pretext, infringe on our rights, citing ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ justifications. From election interference by tech giants to questionable financial decisions, it’s clear that crises are opportunities for power grabs. It’s not just a pandemic issue; it’s about political…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Discovering truths behind seemingly outrageous claims is my latest journey. From Schumer’s outcry on Russian interference to Canada’s controversial bill, the quest for deeper understanding never ends. Delving into the environmental impact of electric vehicles versus gas-powered ones reveals unexpected truths. Each revelation prompts a “Are you kidding me?” moment, pushing me…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Exploring the theatricality of Congressional committee hearings, I delve into the recent House Judiciary Committee’s scrutiny of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on the Biden document scandal. Beyond media narratives, political grandstanding on both sides is evident. Additionally, I tackle the complex debate surrounding the potential TikTok ban in the US, cutting through the rhetoric…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Exploring the fine print in agreements is crucial, yet often overlooked. This piece delves into the importance of reading contracts, especially regarding legislative documents and Joe Biden’s proposed 2025 budget. Uncovering potential surprises within these texts, I highlight the necessity of being informed, while promising to share both good and bad news, with a focus on the latter’s…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – I’m sure we’ve all wished upon a star at some point in our lives. However, this childish practice shouldn’t be how adults plan their futures. The problem with wishes isn’t so much that they may not come true as that we may keep on wishing long after they have failed. For example, those who promoted and implemented defunding the police, wishing and hoping that it would lead to a decrease in crime…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Exploring the intricate dance between gun control advocacy and the push for more restrictive laws, I delve into the political rhetoric that often vilifies gun ownership while seemingly encouraging crime. Through a critical lens, I examine the ATF’s Demand 2 program, the controversial “Red Flag Laws,” and the broader implications on Second Amendment rights, inviting readers to reflect…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We often hear ‘Put your money where your mouth is,’ urging commitment. I argue politicians use our money instead of theirs, revealing true priorities. This piece examines discrepancies between what’s said and done, from spending bills to border actions, questioning if representatives truly align their actions with their professed values.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Diving into the frenzy of March, we explore the chaos of election season, Trump’s ballot access, and the fervor of Super Tuesday. We also navigate the escalating border crisis, the standoff between Texas and federal authorities, and the shocking arrest of an American journalist in Dallas. This month, it seems, the madness extends far beyond college basketball courts.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – As Nero fiddled with Rome ablaze, some say Joe Biden similarly ignores the southern border crisis. Yet, unlike Nero, Biden’s actions fuel the fire. With cities and states under threat, Texas boldly defies federal negligence, spearheading protection efforts. This struggle against federal overreach highlights a pivotal moment for citizen action in safeguarding our republic and its borders.
