The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The fundamental feature of a republican form of government is the people’s trust in their elected representatives. Starting from the 2000 election to recent times, controversies have plagued the electoral process. As the 2024 election approaches, we face new allegations of interference. If trust in our elections erodes, we risk becoming a republic in name only, losing the essence of self-governance.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We all remember playing doctor as kids, but what happens when your real doctor feels more like an assembly line worker? From signing in to checkout, it’s a series of routines and guidelines. Are they truly practicing medicine or just following bureaucratic directives? This experience raises important questions about the state of modern healthcare.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Judges wield significant power, often in ways that challenge constitutional boundaries. Alexander Hamilton noted their intended limitations in Federalist #78, yet modern judges frequently shape laws based on personal beliefs. This piece explores the implications of such judicial actions on our rights and questions how unelected officials can make crucial decisions in a democratic society.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – With claims of a January 6th insurrection, a covert coup unfolds. The Speaker of the House delays National Guard assistance, while top military officials allegedly manipulate orders from the Commander in Chief. This breach of command authority challenges civilian control over the military, raising concerns about corruption within government agencies like the FBI, FCC, and Department of Energy.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Thomas Jefferson’s skepticism about newspapers rings true today. I question everything I hear in the media, especially political news and economic reports. With misleading job market data and biased candidate information, how can we make informed decisions? Discover how media misinformation impacts our lives and what we can do to navigate this challenging landscape.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Reflecting on Robert Heinlein’s “Stranger in a Strange Land,” I ponder if one must be raised by aliens to feel like a stranger at home. A 96-year-old D-Day veteran recently expressed feeling like a foreigner in his own country. Do you ever feel this way, as if the America you knew has vanished, replaced by something unfamiliar and foreign?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When we start investigating to see if what we believe to be true actually is, we start down a journey of discovery. Sometimes, that journey is painful, like when you find something you knew to be true turns out not to be 100% true. When we start applying a simple test to what we read, see, and hear, we can find ourselves in uncomfortable territory with friends, family, and neighbors. What is that test?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Government power is expanding, spying on citizens without probable cause, while withholding information from the public. Illegal immigration is at record highs, and states prioritize serving illegal aliens over their citizens. The federal and state governments use surveillance to monitor us, but resist transparency about their actions. It’s a troubling trend of overreach and secrecy in the…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Trust in our institutions is crumbling as lies are often accepted as truth. Millions follow falsehoods without hesitation, leading to grave consequences. Echoing Edmund Burke and Winston Churchill, this piece underscores the importance of truth in a world where “personal truths” dominate. The battle for truth is ongoing, and silence allows lies to prevail.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Trump’s conviction in the “Hush Money” trial raises questions about justice and politics. Was due process followed, or is this a political move? Despite initial celebrations, the Democratic party faces backlash, with Trump’s campaign gaining support and endorsements. Join me and Rob Harper as we delve into the political fallout and legal intricacies of this case…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In school, I learned about checks and balances, but it turns out I was taught wrong. The federal government doesn’t have three co-equal branches; Congress holds most power. The erosion of checks and balances, especially between states and the federal government, threatens our liberties. It’s crucial to understand and restore these protections against tyranny and oppression.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The thing to remember about elitist culture is that they assume they know better how you should live your life. What are the consequences of depending on government to decide our futures? What happens when we have to ask government permission before we can pursue something that makes us happy? We are proud of being the land of the free, but how…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Through the rigors of time, these men and women who fought for us are down to a few, a very small few, a band of brothers and sisters who fought right to live free. What are we doing with the gifts of freedom they paid so much for us to enjoy? Eighty years ago, thousands of paratroopers jumped behind enemy lines in Western Europe to be joined by 156,000 men who stormed the beaches in Normandy…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Do we remember the lockdowns, the censorship, and the six feet of separation? Do we remember “14 days to stop the spread”, the vilification of Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine, and vaccine mandates? Why are we repeating the same thing with the “transgender” movement? And now the government is setting us up for the same treatment over bird flu…
