The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When it comes to politics, I hear many people point out when the pot calls the kettle black. I like to remind people that it’s important they take the beam out of their eye before trying to get the spec out of their neighbor’s eye. The idea of “Do as I say, not as I do” has become so ingrained in our politics that people seem surprised when someone actually…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Not only has Joe Biden been closing out his presidency by pardoning a long list of murders, rapists, and drug dealers, but after months of saying he would never do it, he not only pardoned his son Hunter and gave him a grant of immunity for any other crimes he committed while Joe was in office. Then, he awarded the second highest civilian…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Many view the judiciary as the most powerful branch of government, referring to its decisions as “settled law.” But the judicial branch wields neither force nor will—only judgment. Exploring Chief Justice Roberts’ concerns and recent events, we uncover why true judicial independence must come with limited power to preserve the balance of government.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – How can we defend our rights if we don’t know what they are or how they’re protected? A lack of civic literacy has left many Americans unaware and vulnerable. Blame often falls on the education system, but what role do parents and communities play? Understanding and defending our rights starts with reading and studying the U.S. Constitution diligently.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Why does the Democratic Party, which claims to champion democracy, often bypass the will of the people? From presidential elections to New York’s extreme policies, undemocratic actions abound. Federal overreach, censorship, energy taxes, and unproven health mandates reveal a troubling pattern of control that challenges the principles of…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Many decisions shaping our lives revolve around the economy. From famous quotes by Reagan and Carville to recent legal battles, it’s clear that economic policy and government actions impact more than just finances. This exploration connects political choices, court rulings, and economic outcomes to reveal the broader influence they have on our rights and daily lives.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Our national debt is going to grow, and nothing is going to change unless We the People do something about it. Regardless of your plans, there are two things I hope we remember. More often than not, it isn’t that people take away our rights but that they intimidate us into giving them up. We won’t agree about everything. Let us work together where we can, and give each other the liberty to disagree…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – A look back at 2024 reveals a year filled with scandals, from taxpayer waste and corrupt media to immigration issues and education failures. The transgender movement’s impact on athletics and office politics adds to the controversy. As we enter a new year, it’s a chance to reflect on the past and strive for better decisions ahead.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Biden is pushing not only his “climate change agenda” but also his student loan and long-term employment contract shenanigans through before he leaves office. It’s not just Joe Biden, by the way. Some California legislators are asking Pete Buttigieg to give them their bribe money for their high-speed rail boondoggle while he still has a job…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Is ignorance bliss, or is it a failure? I know the saying is that ignorance is bliss, and while that may be true, it is also extremely destructive. Most Americans are ignorant about where our federal government spends money. When they find out the truth, many are not happy. Even members of Congress are ignorant about what is in the legislation they are voting for…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In a world flooded with information, we often rely on sources that align with our views, risking unverified claims. From gun control debates to institutional trust, freedom of speech on campuses, political investigations, and mysterious drones, this discussion dives into the facts we must question and the narratives shaping our understanding.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Bad losers have a long history in American politics, but recent actions by the Biden administration stand out. From wasting border wall materials to prioritizing billions for Ukraine over hurricane relief, and funding divisive DEI programs, these actions signal disregard for taxpayers and the Constitution. A troubling reflection of corruption and misplaced priorities in governance.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The principle of “innocent until proven guilty” is vital but often overlooked in both the legal system and society. From the Duke Lacrosse case to immunity grants shielding guilt, public judgment frequently bypasses due process. This reflection urges applying fairness to judgments, emphasizing the importance of evidence and justice for all in preserving reputations and integrity.
