The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We’ve spent years investing our trust in one newspaper or another, one news program or another. Now that we’re fully in the information age, we are able to easily access other sources of information. As these “alternate” sources are providing not just a different view of what’s going on, but evidence that…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Sadly, the American people have been avoiding the painful truths for decades, and now we are dealing with the more painful infections we failed to deal with, or dealt with incorrectly in the past. Let’s take some time today and deal with a few painful truths. You may find it unpleasant, but just as the pain that drives us…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Who is in control? That is a question we should all be asking ourselves. Because the answer to that question directly impacts who you are. Do you control your life? If so, then you live at liberty. If not, then you are dependent on others. The question of control is also a question of freedom. Are you free to live your life as you see fit, or are you enslaved to a system that tells you how to…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Ethics, it’s one of those words we use all the time, but I’m not sure we use it properly. Or, as Inigo Montoya said, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” Let’s face it, the members of the Senate who are calling for a code of ethics for the Supreme Court are a clear example of the pot calling the kettle black. Then you’ve got the almost political…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – I am frequently amazed when people who do not trust big corporations place all their trust in the federal government. Some think a federal agency, unlike a private corporation, would not bow to money or political pressure. Others act like simply bestowing someone with a government job and a government paycheck means they will “look out for the little guy” rather than…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – With all of the mistrust in federal institutions, not to mention the accusations against Supreme Court Justices, some people claim SCOTUS is corrupt and, therefore, untrustworthy. Some people want to get rid of certain Justices, while others want to “pack” the court. Is the court corrupt or pure as the wind-driven show? What about the Justices? Are they “clean” or “dirty”…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In the Preamble to the Constitution, where the Framers both introduced the document and explained its purpose, the very first goal was to “establish justice.” Noah Webster defined justice as “The virtue which consists in giving to everyone what is his due.” Today, we are witnessing the collapse of justice, of the rule of law, at the federal level. While our history is replete with examples…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Now look at all of the attempts to sexualize children. Do you really think these do not arise out of the sexual fantasies of the adults involved? From drag queen story hours to the myth of gender-affirming care, our sex-obsessed society has apparently turned much of its attention to our children…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – I hear a lot of people talking about elections. Some claim their vote doesn’t matter, that the elections are rigged. Others claim it is the only way to save the republic. Which one is true? In some ways, both are true. In others, neither. There have always been people trying to rig elections. In fact, in 1944, such attempts to rig a county election actually led to gunfire in the streets of a…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution states that “The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.” We’re all probably familiar with how the courts work today, but how many of you have considered what this judicial power actually is? Patriots of talk about the deep…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – What is truth? That’s basically the same question as what is misinformation. I remember a time when truth and lies were determined by facts. If you could provide facts that prove what you were saying is true, then most people would believe you. Today, however, when the truth contradicts the narrative, it gets labeled misinformation so people can ignore it. But if the truth is…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The United States of America was designed with a bottom-up power structure. The Constitutions of most of our states say that all power is inherent in the people and that they delegate some of their power to the states. The Constitution of the United States not only created what we now call the federal government, but the Tenth Amendment confirms that the powers delegated…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – While most people are familiar with the Bond movies, the franchise started 70 years ago when Ian Fleming wrote the book Casino Royale and introduced the world to 007. As a young man, I was very interested in these types of spy thriller books and movies. Some of my favorite series are James Bond, Jack Ryan, and Jason Bourne. This was brought to mind after reading an article…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – You’d be wrong if you thought the silly season around recent Supreme Court decisions was over. The fact that people disagree with the court’s opinions should surprise no one. However, in today’s narcissistic and childish political environment, simply disagreeing and criticizing is not enough. And if you think providing facts and data will calm the masses, I have a bridge to sell…
