The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – As states declare independence, they claim powers to levy war, establish commerce, and more. Yet, recent actions in states like Massachusetts, California, and Georgia challenge individual rights, from gun ownership to voting laws. Reflecting on a decade with The Constitution Study, I examine our states’ sovereignty, the role of courts, and the fight to restore constitutional rights.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Paul Harvey’s “The Rest of the Story” reminds us that the truth often hides beneath the surface. By examining both sides, as Proverbs 18:17 suggests, we uncover a deeper understanding. This approach is essential in our views on gun ownership, police incidents, natural disasters, and politics. Who provides the best evidence for their claims?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In the face of disasters, both natural and man-made, how do we respond? From delayed leadership during Hurricane Helene to the erosion of our rights and trust in elections, the real disaster we face is man-made. It’s time to question government overreach, defend our freedoms, and stand up for our rights before they are lost.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We’ve all experienced close calls. Sometimes, we recognize immediately the bullet we dodged; other times, that knowledge doesn’t come to us until years, maybe decades later. What if, just weeks before an election, you learn that there are people on the voter rolls who are not legally allowed to vote? Or what if you find that former candidates for president of the US wanted to…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – As news breaks about the most recent failure of a federal agency, many are asking why our regulatory system is failing us. Perhaps it is because it was never designed to protect our health in the first place. After all, who do you trust with your health, a nameless bureaucrat or your own two eyes? How long has it been since a simple thing like the Constitution got in the way of the federal government doing what it wants?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Elitists like to lord themselves over us. Tell us who we can vote for, what we can own, and even how we are allowed to live our lives. It is said that when Marie Antoinette learned that the poor had no bread, her response was, “Let them eat cake!” But we don’t live in pre-revolutionary France; we live in the United States of America. We do not elect masters but public servants…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – It seems today, all people think about is donkeys versus elephants, but what about character? What about fidelity to their oath of office? James Garfield was correct: [N]ow more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – How far will you go to win? The piece explores the disturbing lengths politicians and their supporters will go, sacrificing morality and integrity in pursuit of victory. From justifying unethical tactics to undermining democratic processes, the consequences of these actions are unraveling before us, posing a dangerous threat to freedom and justice in America.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Faith in our elections is crumbling, and with it, the foundation of our republic. When elected representatives are not chosen by the people, the legitimacy of government is called into question. As evidence of illegal voting, manipulated laws, and political interference grows, trust erodes further. Can a republic survive if its citizens no longer believe in the integrity of the process?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In a world where misinformation and disinformation are often used to justify censorship, the right to free thought and speech becomes more crucial than ever. Benjamin Franklin once warned that without these liberties, wisdom and public freedom cannot exist. If we can’t decide truth for ourselves, we risk being controlled by the decisions of others…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Politics has always been messy, but now it’s becoming a literal blood sport. In America, we’ve seen assassination attempts on a presidential candidate and threats against Supreme Court justices. Why are these violent threats focused on those opposing a Marxist agenda? This is a sign of deeper societal issues that we can’t ignore any longer.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Consider this: without freedom of speech, how will we know when our government actors misbehave, break the law, or simply lie about what they’ve done? How can we trust our elections if we are not free to question how they are conducted? How can we claim to have public liberty without freedom of speech? Worst of all, if freedom of speech disappears in America…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Even though the United States is a republic, many people seem worried about American democracy. However, it seems that very few have actually considered what an American democracy would look like. Remember, the people who seem to be working the hardest to “save our democracy” are in the Democratic Party. There’s nothing wrong with that per se, but look at…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – There are other education systems in America and other ways we learn. Corporations and governments spend billions of dollars annually trying to train their employees on everything from sexual harassment to diversity and inclusion. Does that education work, or is it just another boondoggle? Isn’t it about time we test our education systems and see if…
