The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Consider this: without freedom of speech, how will we know when our government actors misbehave, break the law, or simply lie about what they’ve done? How can we trust our elections if we are not free to question how they are conducted? How can we claim to have public liberty without freedom of speech? Worst of all, if freedom of speech disappears in America…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Even though the United States is a republic, many people seem worried about American democracy. However, it seems that very few have actually considered what an American democracy would look like. Remember, the people who seem to be working the hardest to “save our democracy” are in the Democratic Party. There’s nothing wrong with that per se, but look at…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – There are other education systems in America and other ways we learn. Corporations and governments spend billions of dollars annually trying to train their employees on everything from sexual harassment to diversity and inclusion. Does that education work, or is it just another boondoggle? Isn’t it about time we test our education systems and see if…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When I look around today, I feel a sense of nostalgia. After all, we have campus demonstrations, political assassinations, a sexual revolution, and crime, just to name a few of the similarities. This makes me believe Santayana was correct, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” You know what they say: If you can remember the ’60s, you weren’t really there…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – As Election Day nears, the freedom to vote and speak openly is increasingly at risk. Without the ability to debate candidates and election processes, how can we call ourselves a true republic? Censorship attempts by government actors threaten our core liberties, leaving us to wonder if the republic can survive when trust in elections and free speech is eroded.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Department of Defense has lost track of $20 trillion over the past 18 years, raising serious concerns about government accountability. Meanwhile, inflation is still a problem, with the CPI at 2.5%, not reflecting critical areas like food and energy where prices are rising sharply. It’s clear that the federal government is excelling at one thing: wasting taxpayer money. How much more will it take for people to notice?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Politicians lie, but lately, it’s like they’re taking political steroids. From rigging elections to media manipulation, it’s becoming more blatant. Kamala Harris and her supporters ignore past statements, expecting us to accept their current narratives. Social media platforms also tilt the scales in favor of certain candidates. It feels like democracy is being sidelined for political gains.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Many Americans are willingly surrendering their freedoms in exchange for government promises of safety and security. Whether it’s parental responsibility or protection from misinformation, people are choosing control over liberty without realizing the consequences. This explores why we are so quick to give up our rights and walk into the chains of servitude.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In today’s world, truth is harder to find than ever. Media, government, and even the medical community twist facts to serve their own agendas. With elections, political disinformation, and health controversies dominating headlines, it’s crucial to question what we’re told. We must seek facts for ourselves, or risk being misled by those in power.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We’ve forgotten the lessons of our lax immigration enforcement, which led to 19 terrorists who overstayed their visas to fly planes into our buildings. We’ve forgotten the dangers of supporting terrorist groups, even right here on American soil. We’ve forgotten many of the lessons, not just from 9/11 but from our history…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We all have biases, beliefs we cling to even when confronted with opposing evidence. More people are choosing to reject facts and create their own version of reality. Inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s “Theory of Stupidity,” this explores why some defend their beliefs at all costs, even when faced with undeniable truths.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Politicians often secure votes by offering money, programs, and services in exchange for public support. This form of bribery, as described by Alexis de Tocqueville, has become a common practice at all levels of government. The question is, now that we see the manipulation, will we continue to participate in this corrupt system?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – American citizenship holds immense value, especially for those who have immigrated from oppressive regimes. Yet, many natural-born citizens seem to take it for granted. As laws increasingly favor non-citizens and devalue our rights, it’s crucial to reflect on the importance of protecting what it means to be an American and the rights that come with it.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Constitution is often seen as a threat to “American Democracy,” and rightfully so. The United States is a republic, not a democracy, and this distinction is crucial. While many have tried to push for a democracy, history shows that democracies can lead to chaos and self-destruction, as John Adams and others have warned.
