The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”

Today, the government in Washington, DC, claims powers that its powers are numerous and indefinite, and it is the states which have limited powers. Recent history has shown that by allowing those in Washington, DC, numerous and indefinite powers has led to some truly despotic consequences…
Neither party is innocent in our recent decline into evils of tyranny, despotism, and servitude. The main difference seems to be how fast we get there. Sadly, too many Americans have stood back and watched while those who wish to rule others have taken control. Will we simply watch while freedom and liberty in America are beaten into a bloody pulp?
America in the 2020s is heading down the same as China was in the 1960s. The Cultural Revolutions included the mobilization of the youth, often to violently demonstrate in favor of the party, harassing, even jailing those who disagreed with the party, and demonizing anyone who disagreed with the party. Looking at America today, what do you see?
What happens when, rather than changing the hypothesis, “scientists” change the test to get the outcome they desire? That is exactly what has been happening for decades in the “climate science” community. Today, I have Dr. Jay Lehr, Senior Policy Analyst with the International Climate Science Coalition…
Rather than assumptions and hyperbole, we have their own words proving that they intend to take away our Freedoms of Speech and Press. Now that we have facts, what are the American people doing about it? Isn’t it about time that the American people not only demand that our servants in government enforce the law but punish those who violate it?
John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison all warned us about the dangers of democracies, that they are turbulent, dangerous, and never last long. If you want proof of the dangers of democracy, you need only look at the reaction to the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion…
We can debate how this happened, but I think it is more important we recognize where we are going and decide if that is our preferred destination. Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Will America heed the warnings from those writers of the past, or are we condemned to live ⏤ imitating their art?
While there have been plenty of reports, analyses, and commentary, how many have told you what the court didn’t do? The court did not find the mandate unconstitutional. What does this mean for the American people, the rule of law, and the future of freedom in America?
Is the power still vested in the people who elect representatives to exercise that power in their name? Or has America devolved into a totalitarian oligarchy, where a select few who rule over the masses? More and more it is becoming obvious that We the People are ruled by Washington, D.C. rather than ruling over them…
Why is freedom of speech so important? Yes, there are those trying to destroy it, and others that want to protect it. But have you ever taken the time to find out why it should be defended? We’ll delve into that question in today’s episode…
Ronald Reagan said we should trust but then verify. Yet it seems many of the American people are willing to follow whoever gets elected to office blindly. Our slavish devotion to party politics had demoted the once-free American people to serfs to live at the government’s pleasure…
It is easy to evaluate a situation based on your assumption, and to judge things differently relative to what you would prefer. More often than not, this leads to a bad outcome. Understanding not only your own priorities, but those who are providing the information and making decisions is critical to evaluating the performance of those we…
How many of you have had an encounter with law enforcement? I don’t mean you got pulled over for speeding, but a serious encounter with the law? In the first segment, we’ll take a look at a lawsuit that came about after what appears to be an illegal entry by law enforcement. For the rest of the program, we’ll be talking to Sam Bushman, Vice-President of Operations for the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association. You can find out more about this organization at http://cspoa.org. The Constitution Study with Paul Engel on America Out Loud Talk Radio can be heard weekdays at 4 pm ET. Listen on iHeart Radio, our world-class media player, or our free apps on Apple, Android, or Alexa. Listen to other episodes of The Constitution Study, available on podcast.
Be it ignorance or apathy, many of us are led around by others whom we let think and decide for us. Many Americans may be okay with willingly submitting to the servitude of others. For the rest of us, the solution is both simple and straightforward. But it does come with a cost…
