The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The metaphor of a “ship of state” illustrates how bureaucrats have led the nation into peril, like the Titanic striking an iceberg. This iceberg is the Constitution and laws of the United States. Recent court decisions reveal cracks in the deep state’s hull. Can we guide Americans to the lifeboats of the Constitution and dismantle the destructive bureaucracy?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The members of the Democratic Party are not the ones choosing their candidates. This is nothing new since Bernie Sanders was the leading contender for the Democratic nomination for President until the party leaders got involved. This year, after promoting Joe Biden to their members and getting people to vote for him, the party leaders suddenly started pressuring him to drop out…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Constitution matters, but only if we use it. Recent federal court decisions are increasingly based on the Constitution’s actual text rather than judicial interpretation. This shift might signal change, suggesting that our challenging times are fostering resilient individuals committed to defending their rights and those of others. Explore these themes and more on our website.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In today’s polarized world, it’s common to be defined by the groups we support. I choose not to back any political figure or organization. Instead, I support policies that align with my beliefs. This approach ensures I stay true to myself and avoid being boxed into predefined labels. It’s challenging but essential for genuine freedom.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We’ve all done it. We “cleaned” by sweeping the dirt under the carpet, throwing the dirty laundry in the closet, and the dirty dishes in the oven. We call it “cleaning,” but all we’re really doing is hiding the dirt. It should surprise no one that Congress does the same thing. I don’t mean to say that Congress is actually putting dirty dishes in the oven, but that they’re hiding their failures by…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The recent assassination attempt on a presidential candidate brings to mind historic events like the shootings of President Reagan and Robert Kennedy. As a constitutional scholar, I emphasize the need for rational responses over heated rhetoric. Our reactions will shape the future, urging us to seek facts and maintain a balanced perspective for the sake of our republic.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In today’s political landscape, both Democrats and Republicans believe only they can legitimately win the Presidency. This belief marginalizes third-party candidates, who are systematically excluded from the process. The election system is controlled by the two major parties, limiting voter choice and perpetuating a cycle of despotism warned about by George Washington. I challenge this status quo.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Charles Schumer warns Donald Trump, “You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” This notion fuels a widespread belief that you don’t mess with federal power. Yet, we, the people, can stand up against federal overreach with education, preparation, and fortitude, reclaiming our constitutional rights.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – “May you live in interesting times” is an ancient Chinese curse that feels all too real today. With the 2024 election, Supreme Court decisions, and debates on Presidential Immunity and gun rights, we’re navigating turbulent waters. If we can keep our heads amid the chaos, we might preserve the liberty entrusted to us.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Grave threats surround us, yet the real danger lies in our own apathy. It’s not foreign adversaries or political figures like Trump or Biden, but the neglect of our civic duties. Echoing Daniel Webster’s wisdom, our nation’s peril emerges from within, as inattentive citizens empower unscrupulous leaders. Let’s explore these supposed threats and uncover the true peril to our liberty.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Constitution establishes a central government with limited powers, but it’s We the People who must enforce those limits. Today, Congress, the Executive Branch, and the courts overreach their authority. This illusion of power crumbles when exposed. Recent Supreme Court decisions highlight this overreach. Will we, like Dorothy and her friends, peek behind the curtain and reclaim our power?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Pride is one of the seven deadly sins. So why do we celebrate pride every year? Specifically, the month of June has been designated as the time to take pride in perversion and pornography. It’s not just the pornographic parades held around the country but the constant pressure to get people to both acknowledge and endorse these “lifestyles.” As one commentator asked, “Is This the Summer That Humbled Gay Pride?”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Every year, the Supreme Court’s term ends with a flurry of opinions, both important and controversial. Dubbed “SCOTUS Silly Season,” this period reveals the court’s impact on key issues like government coercion, presidential immunity, and more. By examining these opinions, we can understand the court’s role in shaping our legal landscape and its sometimes surprising decisions.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Are you relying on the courts to protect your rights? Think again. The recent Supreme Court case Murthy v. Missouri reveals that the courts may not always decide in your favor. Meanwhile, misinformation about gun violence continues, and a CBS/YouGov poll indicates a worrying trend: many Americans may no longer value their freedom…
