The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The recent assassination attempt on a presidential candidate brings to mind historic events like the shootings of President Reagan and Robert Kennedy. As a constitutional scholar, I emphasize the need for rational responses over heated rhetoric. Our reactions will shape the future, urging us to seek facts and maintain a balanced perspective for the sake of our republic.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In today’s political landscape, both Democrats and Republicans believe only they can legitimately win the Presidency. This belief marginalizes third-party candidates, who are systematically excluded from the process. The election system is controlled by the two major parties, limiting voter choice and perpetuating a cycle of despotism warned about by George Washington. I challenge this status quo.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Charles Schumer warns Donald Trump, “You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” This notion fuels a widespread belief that you don’t mess with federal power. Yet, we, the people, can stand up against federal overreach with education, preparation, and fortitude, reclaiming our constitutional rights.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – “May you live in interesting times” is an ancient Chinese curse that feels all too real today. With the 2024 election, Supreme Court decisions, and debates on Presidential Immunity and gun rights, we’re navigating turbulent waters. If we can keep our heads amid the chaos, we might preserve the liberty entrusted to us.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Grave threats surround us, yet the real danger lies in our own apathy. It’s not foreign adversaries or political figures like Trump or Biden, but the neglect of our civic duties. Echoing Daniel Webster’s wisdom, our nation’s peril emerges from within, as inattentive citizens empower unscrupulous leaders. Let’s explore these supposed threats and uncover the true peril to our liberty.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Constitution establishes a central government with limited powers, but it’s We the People who must enforce those limits. Today, Congress, the Executive Branch, and the courts overreach their authority. This illusion of power crumbles when exposed. Recent Supreme Court decisions highlight this overreach. Will we, like Dorothy and her friends, peek behind the curtain and reclaim our power?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Pride is one of the seven deadly sins. So why do we celebrate pride every year? Specifically, the month of June has been designated as the time to take pride in perversion and pornography. It’s not just the pornographic parades held around the country but the constant pressure to get people to both acknowledge and endorse these “lifestyles.” As one commentator asked, “Is This the Summer That Humbled Gay Pride?”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Every year, the Supreme Court’s term ends with a flurry of opinions, both important and controversial. Dubbed “SCOTUS Silly Season,” this period reveals the court’s impact on key issues like government coercion, presidential immunity, and more. By examining these opinions, we can understand the court’s role in shaping our legal landscape and its sometimes surprising decisions.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Are you relying on the courts to protect your rights? Think again. The recent Supreme Court case Murthy v. Missouri reveals that the courts may not always decide in your favor. Meanwhile, misinformation about gun violence continues, and a CBS/YouGov poll indicates a worrying trend: many Americans may no longer value their freedom…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Will you stand by while your birthright as an American is taken away from you and your family? Will you join with others to make sure this remains the land of the free by once again becoming the home of the brave? Will you pledge your life, your fortune, and your sacred honor, not to me or to this nation, but to your children and those who will follow?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Political agendas increasingly infiltrate public health. Biden integrates illegal aliens into Obamacare, Rachel Levine promotes the transgender agenda among youth, and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy labels gun violence a public health crisis to infringe on rights. This politicization of healthcare reflects decades of political control, urging us to focus on voters’ decision-making to combat this trend.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Has anyone else noticed that, while claims of threats to our democracy come from both political parties, how often do they try to push power to the bureaucracies, which are, by definition, undemocratic? I know the United States is not a democracy but a republic, meaning we elect representatives to exercise our power in our name. Yet both sides seem to be working hard to…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Governments often respond to failures by throwing more money at problems instead of honest introspection. As Ronald Reagan said, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.” This reflects our misplaced trust in government solutions. By embracing real choice in areas like healthcare, education, and banking, we, the people, can take control and demand better outcomes.

How stupid do you feel?
Cultural Wars, Media, Political, Self-Improvement
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – We’re often told it’s not nice to call people stupid. I’m not calling anyone stupid; I’m asking if they feel stupid. Look around at the consequences of our decisions. Are protests falling on deaf ears? Are facts ignored? Reflecting on our choices, especially in elections, is crucial to electing better representatives and making wiser decisions.
