The Constitution Study
Weekdays 4 PM ET
The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Reflecting on Robert Heinlein’s “Stranger in a Strange Land,” I ponder if one must be raised by aliens to feel like a stranger at home. A 96-year-old D-Day veteran recently expressed feeling like a foreigner in his own country. Do you ever feel this way, as if the America you knew has vanished, replaced by something unfamiliar and foreign?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When we start investigating to see if what we believe to be true actually is, we start down a journey of discovery. Sometimes, that journey is painful, like when you find something you knew to be true turns out not to be 100% true. When we start applying a simple test to what we read, see, and hear, we can find ourselves in uncomfortable territory with friends, family, and neighbors. What is that test?
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Government power is expanding, spying on citizens without probable cause, while withholding information from the public. Illegal immigration is at record highs, and states prioritize serving illegal aliens over their citizens. The federal and state governments use surveillance to monitor us, but resist transparency about their actions. It’s a troubling trend of overreach and secrecy in the…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Trust in our institutions is crumbling as lies are often accepted as truth. Millions follow falsehoods without hesitation, leading to grave consequences. Echoing Edmund Burke and Winston Churchill, this piece underscores the importance of truth in a world where “personal truths” dominate. The battle for truth is ongoing, and silence allows lies to prevail.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Trump’s conviction in the “Hush Money” trial raises questions about justice and politics. Was due process followed, or is this a political move? Despite initial celebrations, the Democratic party faces backlash, with Trump’s campaign gaining support and endorsements. Join me and Rob Harper as we delve into the political fallout and legal intricacies of this case…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – In school, I learned about checks and balances, but it turns out I was taught wrong. The federal government doesn’t have three co-equal branches; Congress holds most power. The erosion of checks and balances, especially between states and the federal government, threatens our liberties. It’s crucial to understand and restore these protections against tyranny and oppression.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The thing to remember about elitist culture is that they assume they know better how you should live your life. What are the consequences of depending on government to decide our futures? What happens when we have to ask government permission before we can pursue something that makes us happy? We are proud of being the land of the free, but how…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Through the rigors of time, these men and women who fought for us are down to a few, a very small few, a band of brothers and sisters who fought right to live free. What are we doing with the gifts of freedom they paid so much for us to enjoy? Eighty years ago, thousands of paratroopers jumped behind enemy lines in Western Europe to be joined by 156,000 men who stormed the beaches in Normandy…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Do we remember the lockdowns, the censorship, and the six feet of separation? Do we remember “14 days to stop the spread”, the vilification of Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine, and vaccine mandates? Why are we repeating the same thing with the “transgender” movement? And now the government is setting us up for the same treatment over bird flu…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” We have four years of history with COVID, marked by government lies, lockdowns, and mandates. Now, similar patterns emerge with the transgender movement and bird flu. Join me in remembering the tyranny of the past and standing against it to prevent history from repeating.
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – New York State, the Empire State, takes a step towards tyranny with the kangaroo trial and conviction of Donald J. Trump. As a former resident, I Tweeted, “No longer a citizen of the Empire. Long live the Republic!” This travesty of justice on May 30th, 2024, confirms the troubling direction our state and nation are heading…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Without active engagement, political systems naturally centralize power, leading to tyranny. Our nation’s shift from decentralized power to central control in Washington, D.C., mirrors this. The Supreme Court, originally intended as a balanced branch, now holds unprecedented power. George Washington warned us about this. Dr. Ming Wang’s inspiring story offers hope and a call to reclaim our freedom…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When something harms us, for many, their first response is to sue someone. This explains why the United States has more lawyers than doctors. Don’t get me wrong, the right to sue, to petition the government for a redress of grievance, is extremely important. However, too many Americans have abused that right by using frivolous, vengeful, and often misguided suits to get a payday rather than justice…
The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The government’s solutions often exacerbate problems. From the southern border crisis to FDA’s questionable testing and approvals, federal interventions are more harmful than helpful. The HPV vaccine’s link to autoimmune brain disease and the inefficacy of FEMA and gun control highlight the risks. Government help is proving to be the last thing we need.
