The Dean’s List
Weekdays 2 pm ET
On October 4, 1790, Samuel Adams sat down to write a letter to his cousin, John Adams, who was vice president of the United States. Samuel Adams stated: “Let patriots unite their endeavors to renovate the age, by . . . educating their sons and daughters in the fear of the Lord . . . love of their country and . . . the art of self-government.”
The word renovate means “To renew; to restore to the first state, or a good state, after decay, destruction or depravation.” It may seem surprising to us that Adams expressed the need to renovate the age, being as it was, such an early time in our nation’s existence. Is it possible he felt the teachings of the Fear of the Lord, Love of Country, and the Art of Self-Government were entering a state of decay?
Ronald Reagan stated, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Could it be that EVERY generation needs to Renovate the Age? The Dean’s List is a show resolved to Renovate the Age by shining the light of truth on the decaying American education system while also shining the light of hope for parents and grandparents who will endeavor to reclaim ownership of their children’s and grandchildren’s education.

The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – Teacher unions like the AFT claim to offer solutions for a better life, but instead push a Marxist agenda. With blatant political bias, these unions prioritize activism over education, resulting in a significant membership decline. Public sector unions are losing millions, as their focus shifts from supporting teachers to promoting far-left causes, leaving education underfunded and neglected.
The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – Classical Christian Education shapes students into individuals of character, rooted in the theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love. This stands in sharp contrast to the indoctrination seen in public schools, which weakens critical thinking and morality. By instilling timeless virtues, we prepare young minds to love God, family, and country, fostering a stronger future for America.
The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – Civic virtue requires honesty and temperance as it provides us with the ability to self-govern. The lawsuit highlights the emotional distress and lack of transparency in handling these sensitive situations.
The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – In 1774, the First Continental Congress faces deep divisions over religious differences, but Samuel Adams rises above them, uniting delegates through the power of prayer. By inviting Reverend Duché to lead in prayer, Adams shows the importance of setting aside differences for a common cause—freedom. Today, this lesson remains just as relevant.
The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – Classical Christian Education stands in direct contrast to modern public schooling in America. Rooted in Paideia, it focuses on cultivating piety, virtue, and wisdom through enculturation. While public schools promote controversial topics like gender roles, Classical Christian Education seeks to nurture respect, tradition, and moral development, offering a rich, value-driven environment for children.

The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – Charles Carroll, the last living signer of the Declaration of Independence, embodied intellectual virtues like prudence, which are sorely lacking today. As Marxist-Democrats push ideologically driven education reforms, true wisdom is being ignored. The consequences are evident in policies that prioritize diversity over merit, leading to indoctrination rather than genuine learning in our schools.
