The Other Side of The Story

Journalists used to consider it their solemn obligation to report on the issues they covered from a variety of perspectives. This is no longer the case. More than a decade ago, reporters abandoned the responsibility to be open to alternative viewpoints as the media organizations they worked for became wholly-owned subsidiaries of liberal, so-called progressive corporations. Then, as we got more and more of our ‘news’ via the Internet from Google, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media, Orwellian censorship became the norm.
Tom Harris and Todd Royal break through this iron curtain of political correctness, giving listeners THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY on issues in science, technology, politics, health, and even entertainment. Whether you agree with their perspectives or not, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY is your must-listen antidote to the propaganda of the Fourth Estate.
Tom Harris is Executive Director of the Ottawa, Canada-based International Climate Science Coalition and a policy advisor to The Heartland Institute. He has 42 years of experience as a mechanical/aerospace engineer, science and technology communications professional, and S&T advisor to a former Opposition Senior Environment Critic in Canada’s Parliament.
Todd Royal is a McKinney, Texas-based energy policy expert and author. A graduate of Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy, Todd’s expertise has informed the United States Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Congress, and the States of Kentucky, California, and Texas. His subject matter expertise covers hydraulic fracking, green hydrogen, battery storage technologies and nuclear reactors. A member of The Screen Actors Guild, Todd is also a trained actor with experience on stage, on television, in film and as a voice actor.
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Exploring the intriguing hypothesis that geothermal phenomena, notably undersea volcanoes, significantly contribute to ocean warming, thereby driving global warming. This perspective, supported by Joe Bastardi and Dr. Arthur Viterito, challenges traditional views, highlighting the critical role of water vapor and seismic activity in climate change, especially in the Arctic…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Industrial wind turbines encircle Christine Burke’s home, transforming her once pristine freshwater well into a source of grey, contaminated water laden with arsenic and lead. This story, echoing across rural North America, highlights the unseen consequences of “green” energy on our environment and health. Join us to uncover how…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – But The Simpsons is a cartoon. Entertaining, though it is, it has no bearing on real-world radioactive waste disposal. Today’s nuclear waste disposal methods in Canada and the U.S. are safer than virtually anything we do in the modern world — get on an aircraft, drive on the highway, walk down the stairs — you name it, practically everything we do on a daily basis has more risk than living near a nuclear waste disposal site like NSDF…
Unlike wind and solar power, which are dependent on breezes and sunshine to operate and so typically only give their rated capacity a third of the time or less, nuclear power plants deliver solid, dependable baseload power practically all the time, independent of the weather. And, yes, the tiny amounts of high-level waste created are being very safely stored until, one day, we can reuse much of the material in advanced breeder reactors…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – In this episode, we share a vision for world peace through energy innovation. We delve into hydraulic fracking, green hydrogen, and nuclear reactors and their potential to foster global harmony. Join us in reimagining a future where sustainable energy is the cornerstone of international cooperation and a tool against tyranny, echoing John Lennon’s dream of unity.
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Mark Twain’s insightful words resonate in today’s climate change debate, particularly regarding the concept of ‘global temperature.’ I explore why this metric is a misleading representation of climate realities. Join me and my guest, Dr. Christopher Essex, as we unveil the statistical misconceptions fueling the climate emergency narrative and delve into the scientific truth behind global warming.
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Geologists tell us that carbon dioxide levels and temperatures have both been far higher in the distant past than today and there was no climate catastrophe. These same earth scientists also show that there is no consistent correlation between CO2 concentration and temperature over the Phanerozoic, the geologic eon that covers the time period from…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Biden says “… the only existential threat humanity faces even more frightening than a — than a nuclear war is global warming going above 1.5 degrees in the next 20 — 10 years. We’re — that’d be real trouble. There’s no way back from that.” Given that the “global temperature” statistic has supposedly increased 1.2 degrees Celsius since 1880, it would obviously be absurd to think that…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – A world without oil is a world of the 18th century in which we would not have the thousands of products that use oil as their feedstock. For example, getting rid of just one of the many oil-derived products — plastic — would be catastrophic. No longer would we have plastic to store our food, make our cell phones and computers, store blood, build pipes, home appliances, and automobiles, and, yes, a world without…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – At a time when most Canadian media are in serious trouble with shrinking revenues and plunging viewer ratings, Rebel News is now the country’s largest online independent news network. To introduce this plucky network to our American listeners, Tom Harris is joined today by Sheila Gunn Reid, Alberta Bureau Chief for Rebel News…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Exploring COP28 in Dubai, we uncover the truth behind the media portrayal. This year’s event, unlike the modest 1995 conference, has become a massive trade show with 97,000 attendees, including major corporations and climate tech startups. We delve into the complex interplay of business interests, climate policies, and the growing skepticism around the UN’s climate initiatives.
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Exploring the truth behind industrial wind turbines (IWTs), we delve into their environmental impact and the fallacy of ‘green energy’. Our discussion includes insights from ‘Clean’ Energy Exploitations, highlighting the ecological and human rights issues linked to IWTs. We also examine their effect on climate change and the significant threat they pose to bird and bat populations, especially…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – In this discussion, we explore the risks of losing U.S. and Canadian cultures amid mass immigration from non-Judeo-Christian societies. We question the impact on women’s rights and cultural preservation, contrasting past immigration trends with current shifts. Joined by Joseph Ben-Ami, we delve into these pressing issues, including the rise of antisemitism and the survival of our societies…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Discover the intricate history of the Jewish people and how it shapes today’s Israeli-Hamas conflict. Join me, with guest Joseph Ben-Ami, as we delve into Judaism’s 3,500-year journey in Palestine, facing conquests, exile, and challenges.
