The Other Side of The Story

Journalists used to consider it their solemn obligation to report on the issues they covered from a variety of perspectives. This is no longer the case. More than a decade ago, reporters abandoned the responsibility to be open to alternative viewpoints as the media organizations they worked for became wholly-owned subsidiaries of liberal, so-called progressive corporations. Then, as we got more and more of our ‘news’ via the Internet from Google, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media, Orwellian censorship became the norm.
Tom Harris and Todd Royal break through this iron curtain of political correctness, giving listeners THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY on issues in science, technology, politics, health, and even entertainment. Whether you agree with their perspectives or not, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY is your must-listen antidote to the propaganda of the Fourth Estate.
Tom Harris is Executive Director of the Ottawa, Canada-based International Climate Science Coalition and a policy advisor to The Heartland Institute. He has 42 years of experience as a mechanical/aerospace engineer, science and technology communications professional, and S&T advisor to a former Opposition Senior Environment Critic in Canada’s Parliament.
Todd Royal is a McKinney, Texas-based energy policy expert and author. A graduate of Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy, Todd’s expertise has informed the United States Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Congress, and the States of Kentucky, California, and Texas. His subject matter expertise covers hydraulic fracking, green hydrogen, battery storage technologies and nuclear reactors. A member of The Screen Actors Guild, Todd is also a trained actor with experience on stage, on television, in film and as a voice actor.
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Energy policy in Canada and the United States has been hijacked by environmental activists who, while experts at communications and lobbying know little about the realities of our energy needs or where our energy actually comes from. This is leading to catastrophically bad decisions by the government, for example, the closing of coal stations…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Why are governments and the media continuing to promote these energy sources when they can only lead to disaster? How do electric cars compare with gasoline-powered cars in terms of their efficiency, range, and costs? Have countries in Europe been transitioning back to conventional energy from…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – One of the most egregiously bad parts of Ottawa’s plans concern transportation. Besides spending $1 billion by 2027 on electric buses, city planners intend to: Restrict sales of new personal vehicles to accelerate conversion to electric vehicles (EVs); Require 40% of heavy trucks operating in the city by 2030 to be…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Those of us who support traditional Judeo-Christian values can win our battles when we stand up with strength, courage, and intelligence. Everyone across the Western world has much to learn from Action4Canada. This highly successful grassroots group has spread like wildfire across…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Unbelievably, the city plans no nuclear at all. Instead, it wants to reduce its so-called carbon footprint by installing 36 square kilometers of rooftop solar, a 161,485% increase over today’s levels, 710 industrial wind turbines, each taller than the Statue of Liberty, and 122 large shipping containers of lithium…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – During operation, industrial wind turbines kill millions of birds and bats. Indeed, the Altamont Pass wind farm in California kills an average of 116 golden eagles every year. In fact, wind turbines are the most serious new threat to important bird species to emerge in decades…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – In many ways, people today are the same as those who inhabited the ancient world. Like them, we want to be admired and respected by our peers and family. We want to be wealthy. We want freedom. We want good mental and physical health and a long life. And, for those of us who…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres asserted, “Humanity is on thin ice — and that ice is melting fast. Our world needs climate action on all fronts — everything, everywhere, all at once.” But the authors of the AR6 Synthesis Report simply fabricated claims that were never actually in the reports…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Mainstream media and western politicians portray President Zelensky as a hero, while others portray him as a villain. Which, if either, is true? Is the Russia/China alliance a serious threat to the west? Congressman Robert (Bob) Kasten, a leader who worked with President Ronald Reagan, joins us…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Besides being a dangerous and depressing worldview that encourages suicide and sterilization, it is wrong. Humanity is wonderful, and every baby born is a marvelous gift to the universe with unlimited potential for undreamed inventions, philosophies, art, music, science, and…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – These developments have the potential to radically improve the way we live and help solve many of the world’s problems, with increasingly sophisticated technology giving us a cleaner and healthier environment than we have today. Mark Mills served in the White House Science Office under President Reagan…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Why do elites across the world continue to boost wind and solar power as realistic large-scale energy sources? Are they really that misinformed, or is something else up? Something that could result in death on a scale never before imagined in human history? Is thrusting most of the world’s 8 billion…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – Offshore oil provides up to 20% of the oil produced by America, oil that is environmentally friendly. Since the disastrous Macondo Blowout – also known as the Deepwater Horizon disaster – 13 years ago, the industry has vastly improved the safety of its operations. Now, the chances of such a blowout are…
The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris – How much of what you hear in the press and from politicians about climate change and energy is actually true? None of what they are saying is true. But the climate scare has become a cult, and, like all cults, facts don’t matter, and questioning the doctrine espoused by the leader is verboten…
