We’ve seen protests on America’s college campuses many times before, so what makes this time any different?
Let’s start with these comments made public by the Hamas terrorists.
“We in the Hamas movement believe that any popular movement demanding an end to the aggression and genocide against our people are useful and supportive activities for our cause,” a Hamas spokesperson said. “The importance of this increases if these activities involve young people and university students, given that this reflects the vision of future generations.”
Please let that soak in for a few moments.
“…this reflects the vision of future generations.”
Some would say, but it’s only a terrorist group speaking – so what? Sure, okay, but this is who the kids are listening to and what the students are buying into. Many of them believe that October 7th never happened. The false reality has penetrated their inner thoughts, and they can no longer think rationally or for themselves.
Terrorism is all based on fear. Once the terrorists get into and control the mindset of young people ⏤ they win! Next, they flip the script and point out the failures or falsity of our so-called ‘democracy.’
“The American administration’s attempts to suppress these activities will not change the reality of the situation, whether regarding the justice of the Palestinian cause or the brutality and racism of the Israeli occupation,” Naim said. “We believe that suppressing these activities will increase the youth’s adherence to their position and reveal the falsity of American democracy.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu references the similarities of the 1930s in Nazi Germany.
“What’s happening in America’s college campuses is horrific,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “Antisemitic mobs have taken over leading universities. They call for the annihilation of Israel. They attack Jewish students. They attack Jewish faculty.”
Netanyahu commended the administration and others for rebuking the evil but said, “More has to be done.”
