By now, we’ve seen and heard the protestors and their chants to “Free Palestine….From the River to the Sea…” and so on. Included with the protests on behalf of Palestine are often hate-spewed shouts threatening the state of Israel and the very existence of the Jewish people (1930s Germany, anyone?).
But do we really know to whom and what “Palestine” means? Do the protestors know what they are talking about in reference to Palestine? Can they find Palestine on a map? There’s a good chance and many reasons they probably can’t.
We’ll chat with Rev. Chandy Thomas, who has lived in the Middle East and extensively studied and presented on the history and geography of Palestine, both from a secular and Biblical perspective. He’ll also share why our modern-day support of Israel, as a people and a nation, is so very critical. Some of what he shares just might surprise you! We’d bet it would surprise the protestors!
